The Training Course
“Language teaching approaches and methods for refugees”
was held in Sweden from 2-8 April 2017 in Örkelljunga.
The Training Course was developed with the cooperation of all project partners and organized by IFALL, the local Swedish partner.
During the working week the partners discussed the current refugee situation in their countries and priorities, needs and requirements for the language teaching.
During the course a sensitization training was held and new methods and tools for language training and working with migrants and refugees were shared.
During the training the specialists coming from each partner had to opportunity to visit and understand the different facilities and activities already in place in the village of Örkelljunga and nearby city of Helsingborg. Visit to SFE (Swedish for emigrants), Språkcafé (informal language learning) and the Helsingborg employment centre were held on different days. The partners also had the opportunity to visit the local refugee centre and meet and talk with the beneficiaries.
